I'm ranking #1 for all my top-of-funnel 'How-to' keywords, but people just read the article and leave. I have a CTA at the bottom, but the click rate is miserable.

This is super common—you’re capturing intent, but not redirecting it. A single CTA at the bottom is usually too late. Most readers won’t make it that far, and even if they do, they’re already “done” consuming.

Try adding inline CTAs inside the content (after key sections), and one above the fold. Data shows placement alone can significantly lift clicks, especially when users don’t read everything. Also, match the CTA to the article intent—don’t just say “contact us,” offer something relevant (template, checklist, tool).

Think next step, not final sale.

Totally agree—intent is there, but friction kills action. Inline CTAs feel natural and timely. Matching the offer to reader mindset is key.

Great point about CTA placement. Waiting until the end misses most users. Contextual, mid-content CTAs paired with relevant offers can significantly improve engagement and clicks. Definitely worth testing different positions and formats.
